This mid-century house was built in 1965 in Iowa City and has an area of 1836 square feet. Its first owner was Mr. Kitzman, and it was acquired some time ago by one of our best clients, Mrs. Diane Naylor, with whom we had the honor of working during the remodeling process.

Undoubtedly, it was a great project for our company due to everything that remodeling such an old property represents, with a story in every corner and that has remained intact over the years, usage, and the inclement weather that tests any type of construction. In this project, we had the opportunity to replace carpets with ceramic tiles in some areas and restore worn-out wooden floors in other areas, install and finish some drywall walls, repair and paint the ceiling, paint the exterior and interior of the property, paint and install doors, and repair and stain the decks.

On our first anniversary, we wanted to highlight the significance that this amazing project has for our company due to its emotional and sentimental value to its owner. It is a dream that we helped make a reality and today we share it with you through this photo album.
In her story, Diane tells us that while looking for a house to escape to when her mother goes to heaven, she stumbled across this gem by Crites & McConnell in an ad and acquired it just moments after it was posted. She longed to find a beautiful place to live and share it with her 92-year-old mother before her health became more delicate, so they could remodel it together, obtaining her opinions and contributions, in order to have more memories of special moments when she's gone.

Both of them have enjoyed this wonderful process to such an extent that Diane's mother wishes for her to live in the newly remodeled house. However, since she can't do so, this beautiful property will soon be rented out so that others can also have the joy of enjoying this lovely place, surrounded by nature, which served as inspiration for the creation of a series of artwork that will be exhibited next month in Kansas City. Diane expresses, "...if only Mr. Kitzman, the original owner in 1965, were alive to share it with him."
Undoubtedly, it is a great project in a beautiful property with various spaces designed for rest and disconnecting from the daily routine. It is the perfect place for nature lovers, as Diane installed a door in the garden that connects to the forest and planned to create a path with sculptures and antique furniture covered in artificial grass for resting during walks.

We wish Miss. Naylor much success in her new projects with this property and once again thank her for the trust placed in Parceros Construction LLC to make this shared dream come true with her beautiful mother.
